At Roberts Wesleyan University, Elizabeth Stevens teaches undergraduate and graduate literacy courses. Prior to coming to Roberts, Elizabeth was an assistant professor at SUNY Oswego. Also while pursuing her doctorate, Elizabeth taught sixth grade in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District. Her research interests include literacy teacher education, identity, and multiliteracies. She recently published in Action in Teacher Education, Teaching Education, and Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy. Elizabeth is an active member of several professional organizations including the International Literacy Association, The Reading League, the New York State Reading Association, College Reading Educators, and the Rochester Area Literacy Council. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two daughters, and her dog.
