Dr. Stoklosa has been an occupational therapist for 35 years, and an OT educator for 18 years. She joins Roberts from Nazareth College where she has served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the master’s entry-level Occupational Therapy Program since 2014. She teaches courses in her areas of clinical expertise including OT Theory, Kinesiology, the Assessment and Treatment of individuals with Neurological conditions and Orthopedic/Physical dysfunction, Health Policy & Administration, and Leadership and Management in OT. She also has taught at Ithaca College in their OT master’s degree program.

Dr. Stoklosa’s research interests are in the areas of interventions to improve upper extremity and hand function in persons post-stroke and those affected by Parkinson’s disease, and intraprofessional partnerships within OT. Her research studies include survey research, quantitative & qualitative, and mixed method designs. She has presented her research activities at numerous venues across NYS, and nationally.

She continues to work as a clinician and treats individuals in the community at the Atkins Center of Rehabilitation of Jewish Senior Life in Rochester, NY and at Thompson Health Rehabilitation Services in Victor and Canandaigua, NY outpatient locations. Her most recent leadership position included serving as the Chief of Occupational Therapy at the University of Rochester Medical Center at Strong Memorial Hospital and Clinton Crossings Medical Office Park in Brighton, NY.

Dr. Stoklosa enjoys working with undergraduate and graduate students and her goal is to contribute to the profession of occupational therapy by preparing outstanding clinicians, life-long learners, and leaders in health care.

She is married and has 4 adult children, all who live in the Rochester area. She enjoys reading, swimming, working out on her Peloton bike, and playing with her 2 mini Golden doodle dogs, Teddy & Oliver, and her cat, Edward.
